Event Schedule

Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA – The staff and Trustees of Sunset Cultural Center Inc. invite you to our 2nd Annual Holiday Party on Friday, December 7th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Sunset Center in the Theater Lobby. This event is hosted by Sunset Center in conjunction with the Carmel Tree Lighting Celebration and is free and open to the public!

Keep cozy and warm with friends and family at the Sunset Center before enjoying all of the wonderful City of Carmel events scheduled for later in the day. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of hot chocolate while mingling in front of our magnificent 16-ft tree. Then have your free couples or family photo taken by our professional photographer for your holiday enjoyment. Listen to the sounds of the season with the wonderful local caroling group “Peninsula Harmony Company”. This is an afternoon of spirit-filled activity suitable for anyone!
Kids will have their own fun participating in our special Holiday Coloring Contest – the winner will receive a family 4-pack of tickets to Sunset Presents “Out Of Thin Air Magic Show” on Wednesday, February 27th at 7PM. There will also be some surprise gifts and special deals available.

Finally, stop by our Marjorie Evans Gallery to view our newest gallery exhibit “Holiday Hope.” Holiday Hope features 25 handcrafted holiday wreaths made by Creekside Farms, from Greenfield, CA. These wreaths will be available for purchase and will make a beautiful addition to any home, or a wonderful holiday gift! Creekside Farms will donate 25% of the proceeds to Voices for Children CASA on behalf of Sunset Center’s Classroom Connections program.
Sunset Center Holiday Party Schedule:

Stop by our lobby to get warm, nibble on pizza bites, wine, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies, and enjoy our spectacular tree.
• 4PM – 5PM
Have your family portrait taken by our professional photographer in front of our 16-ft holiday tree generously donated by the Friends of Sunset Center.
• 4PM – 5PM
Enjoy the sounds of local carolers “Peninsula Harmony Company” then head up town to enjoy the City’s festivities at Devendorf Park!
Complimentary refreshments are generously provided by: Carmel Valley Coffee Roasting Company, Il Fornaio Restaurant, and Hahn Winery.
