Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-Winner John Steinbeck's tale of two drifters is one of the most widely read stories in America. Written as both a novella and a script for a play, Of Mice and Men tells the tragic story of two California migrant ranch workers during the Great Depression. Since its founding in 1972, The Acting Company has launched the careers of some of today's finest actors: Kevin Kline, Rainn Wilson, and Patti Lupone to name a few, while performing 137 productions all across the country. We are honored to bring their acclaimed production to the Sunset Center stage in the heart of Steinbeck Country.

We are very proud to announce that The Acting Company performers and teaching artists will also be participating in Sunset Center's Classroom Connections program with over 400 local high school students, and conducting workshops with community members at the Steinbeck Center in Salinas. Sunset Center produces this unique and comprehensive program that engages the youth of our region in a series of workshops and performances designed to foster imagination, confidence, and a sense of possibility.
