| Information: | |
| From the rugged Laochuan Mountains of Taipei, U Theatre puts philosophy in motion. Through a synergy of acting, martial arts, drumming, Tai-Chi, dance and meditation, Sound of the Ocean traces the cyclical journey of water – from a single rain drop to a vast ocean. Join Us! Tai Chi is often called a "moving meditation" and regular practice confers a serenity of spirit. Interested in learning more about Tai Chi? Dr. Stephanie Taylor MD will be on hand to give an introduction to the ancient art before the performance. Dr. Taylor teaches a gentle and flowing style of Tai Chi that is easy to learn and practice. She has extensive training in internal style martial arts. Dr. Taylor is a Master Trainer in Tai Chi for Arthritis and Tai Chi for Diabetes. Research shows that regular Tai Chi practice increases strength, flexibility and balance. There are also improvements in blood pressure and cardio respiratory function. This is a beautiful and relaxing Tai Chi form that is suitable for all ages. The demonstration will begin at 7:30pm in the Sunset Center lobby. Learn More Visit U Theatre’s Web site |
