Carmel Bach Festival

The Carmel Bach Festival is widely regarded as one of the pre-eminent musical institutions in America. Founded in 1935 and enjoying its 69th season, its performances of the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, his contemporaries and heirs are known worldwide.

 

Carmel Music Society

Since 1927, the Carmel Music Society has brought the world’s finest artists to the Sunset Center. Now in its 80th year, the Society continues its unique tradition of musical distinction and pleasure in a world-class setting, and presents a season full of extraordinary classical music performances.

 

Chamber Music Monterey Bay

Presenting world-class chamber music ensembles and high quality community music education programs to the Monterey Bay Area for the past 40 years, Chamber Music Monterey Bay is pleased to present an outstanding roster of the finest chamber ensembles in the Sunset Center during the 2006/07 season. Be dazzled!

 

Monterey Symphony

Music Director Max Bragado-Darman and the Monterey Symphony orchestra present seven concerts annually, offering high-quality performances of the traditional classical repertoire, less familiar works by major composers, and occasionally works written by composers of our time.

 

Performance Carmel

This year marks the fifteenth anniversary of Performance Carmel, fifteen years of diverse, riveting performances. From Spaulding Gray and Queen Ida and her Zydeco Band to Mort Sahl and The Pickle Family Circus and all the eclectic stops in between.

 

Sunset Center Presents

Beginning with the spring of 2005, SCC, Inc. launched its own series of events at Sunset Center. Plan on being thoroughly entertained by our program, including family entertainment, the elegant stars of the cabaret world, and an expanded dance series.
