Sunset Center is marking a century of creativity — a five-year campaign honoring our history from 1926 schoolhouse to the completion of the theater in 1931, and everything the community has built here since.

We officially launch Century of Creativity alongside the Carmel Chamber of Commerce. Remarks from Sunset Center and community leadership, ribbon-cutting and reception to follow. Everyone is welcome — patrons, press, neighbors, and anyone curious about the next hundred years.

Three hours, totally free, and designed with every generation in mind — an open house accross the campus, woith the schoolhouse history on display, the theater doors open, and Carmel's makers and neighbors filling the plaza.

1:00 PM | Doors open · courtyard fair | Local vendors, makers, and food purveyors line the courtyard.
1:30 PM | Historic building tours | Walk the 1926 schoolhouse and the 1931 theater with local historians.
2:00 PM | Live performances begin on stage | Experience curated sets from resident companies and youth ensembles.
2:30 PM | Story booth & centennial archive | Record your Sunset Center memory on-site, then browse through a century of photographs.
3:30 PM | Community toast | For all ages, in the courtyard, to close the day and open the next century!
