Volunteering at Sunset Center

Sunset Center Volunteers are highly engaged members of our community who are committed to the future of Sunset Center. Volunteers from the Monterey Peninsula make up the lifeblood of our organizations by generously donating their time as ushers, ticket takers, concession helpers, greeters, gallery hosts, and ambassadors. Our success is not possible without this fantastic team!

Our volunteer program strives to create a welcoming environment for all patrons and visitors who attend performances and events at Sunset Center. Our staff works to build an inviting volunteer program that fosters great relationships and friendships. Our volunteers truly give their hearts to the arts!

To become a volunteer, you must fill out our volunteer application (see form below) and complete an informal interview with the Front of House Coordinator prior to attending the mandatory Volunteer Orientation and Training.

Sunset Volunteer applications are accepted year-round. Onboarding for the Carmel Bach Festival will close on June 29, 2026. Onboarding for the 2026-2027 Sunset Presents season will close on December 1, 2026. Interviews are required prior to orientation.
