About the Performers 
Jon Nakamatsu is an internationally acclaimed American pianist celebrated for his powerful artistry, elegance, and dynamic performances. He rose to international prominence after winning the 1997 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, becoming the only American to earn the Gold Medal since 1981. Now in his third decade of touring, Nakamatsu has performed with more than 150 orchestras worldwide and has appeared at renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. In addition to his acclaimed performance career, he is a dedicated educator, artistic director, and frequent guest artist at leading music festivals around the world.
