Drepung Loseling monks perform ancient music for world healing.

Witness one of the world's oldest traditions when Mystical Arts of Tibet returns to Sunset Center to share their sacred visual and performing arts, the spiritual value of which transcends borders, cultures, and time.

Presented by the monk artists of Drepung Loseling Monastery—on tour with the endorsement of His Holiness the Dalai Lama—this extraordinary performance brings Tibet's ancient ritual music and dance to life. More than a concert, it's a window into one of the world's oldest and most profound spiritual traditions.

With meditative chants, dazzling cultural dress, beating drums, and booming dungchen horns, the Drepung Loseling monks offer a rare glimpse into a living tradition dedicated to healing, harmony, and inner peace. These are not your typical performers—they are genuine monks, sharing sacred practices passed down over millennia.

Seen by audiences around the world since 1988, Mystical Arts of Tibet, is a one-of-a-kind cultural experience that heals the heart and stirs the soul. Take part in the tradition at Sunset Center on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 7:30pm.

A pre-show lecture will be offered to Mystical Arts of Tibet ticket holders, to take place in the theater from 6-7pm at no additional cost. Titled Why Do We Need Each Other? this workshop addresses how with changing reality, marked particularly by instant social media and increasing globalization, we have come much closer and become much more dependent on each other. While these changes by themselves are neither positive nor negative, they represent a marked acceleration of pace of life and range of accessibility. How do we meet these changes with a sense of responsibility and belonging? What role can each of us play?
