Wholehearted Chorus Presents: The Way Knows the Way

There's a moment at every Wholehearted concert when the line between stage and seat disappears. A hundred voices are singing, and then the room is singing, and nobody quite decided to make that happen. Last season, more than 1,400 people came to listen and ended up together in song.

This October, Wholehearted Chorus brings its 2026 season home to the Central Coast, where it began. Founded in 2014 by internationally recognized songleader Lisa Littlebird, the chorus is now the region's largest community choir. This final concert of their season is a homecoming — and it will likely sell out, so come with tickets in hand.

What you'll hear: a diverse array of songs learned by heart, sung without sheet music, by people in your community who have spent a season living inside them. The chorus calls these songs sacred technologies of the heart — music built to uplift, to heal, and to remind a roomful of strangers that they belong to each other. One audience member described the experience as "breathtakingly beautiful and powerfully transformative." Another way to say it: you will probably cry, and you will definitely leave lighter than you arrived.

This season features special guest songleader and ritualist Lyndsey Scott as the chorus sings into a single question: What is mine to do? "In a complex and challenging world, it's tempting to give in to overwhelm, confusion, reactivity, or numbness," says Littlebird. "Together we explore and embody 15 songs that broaden our bandwidth for thriving aliveness in these wild times — to become the love that is the balm." The Wholehearted concert season features an accompanying podcast by director Littlebird: https://asongforallofus.org.

Bring your family. Bring that friend who says they can't sing. Bring your voice.

The mission of Wholehearted is to create a more harmonious world by singing together. It was founded in 2014 by Lisa Littlebird, and now has more than 230 singers in its first season with two chapters, in San Diego and on the Central Coast of California.
