Sunset Stories

I went to Sunset when it was still a school, for fifth, sixth and seventh grade. There are so many memories, but one of my favorites is our music teacher, Mr. Purdy. At Christmas we did a beautiful program where we walked into the Sunset theater carrying candles, the lights turned down, singing. It was magical.

We had many wonderful teachers and a great many good memories from those years. I am glad the city was able to save the front facade when the building was remodeled, and we have seen so many events there over the years since.

My hope is that it stays the same, and that the shows continue to be diverse and interesting, bringing culture to Carmel.
